3 Shoe Trends The Entire Office Will Be Wearing This Spring

3 Shoe Trends The Entire Office Will Be Wearing This Spring

Oh, shoes. We never have enough of them and that’s the perfect reason to always buy more - despite our limited closet space (hello over the door shoe rack!) and expertly-designed monthly budget. As if we needed any other reason to buy another shoe (or two) these three shoe trends are absolutely must-have this Spring.

 SQUARE TOES

Square toes are totally in this Spring. A stark turn from traditional pointed-toe shoes of the workplace, square toes give an updated, yet retro feel of the nineties. All of our favorite fashion influencers are with the trend as well.

VELCRO STRAPS

Square toes aren’t the only shoes making an appearance from the past this Spring - velcro straps from our childhood days are also in. Teva has made this trend popular again as the go-to brand for sport utility fashion shoes, however designer brands are taking their swing at it too. Worn alone or paired with a cool sock, there’s no way you won’t be seeing this trend all summer.

CLEAR PLASTIC

Why stop at two new shoes when you can buy three?! See-through shoes are a nod to the future. Clear plastic on your newest shoes give the illusion of no shoes at all (because the future totally has non-existent shoes, lol). While Spring fashion is a nod to the nineties, it’s refreshing to be able to see into the future as well. Step into working world of 2049 below.

**BONUS TREND - NYLON SOCKS

Don’t have the extra closet space? Well, you can still be on trend with the tiniest bit of drawer space. Add nylon socks to your favorite heels for an updated look. Prada has the most notable and Instagram-able pair, but there was no shortage of nylons on the runway last September.

While you may have to squeeze these three trends into your closet and budget, at least you’ll be on trend with the rest of the office. A simple shoe update can elevate an entire look and bring your traditional professional wardrobe into the current season. What shoe trend(s) will you be rocking this Spring?
